Multnomah County Sheriff’s Life Saving Award. 1973 While off duty, Harry though unarmed, put himself between two knife wielding attackers and their victim and arrested the 2 suspects. His actions saved the life of the victim.

US Army Military 7th Division Military Police Letter of Commendation.1975 for his role as a combat Military Police Officer and in his role in saving numerous lives.

Morrow County Sheriff’s Life Saving Award. 1979 While on duty, Harry pulled an unconscious driver from a burning car. Within seconds of rescuing the victim, the car tires exploded and the car became fully involved in flames.

Recognition letter from President Corazon Aquino for Harry's work in 1990 Philippine earthquake.

Distinguished Animals of 1990 for Searchdog Ranger.
   

Recognition letter from Oklahoma Governor Keating for Harry's work in the Oklahoma City Bombing Disaster.

Higgens & Langley N.A.S.A.R.S. National Swift Water Rescue Award. Awarded to Harry and SAR Dog Ranger for risking their lives to save two drowning children. In 1993 Harry with his search dog Ranger swam out in a cold, stormy ocean near Seaside, Oregon and rescued two small drowning children that were being swept out to sea by a strong tidal current off the Oregon Coast.

The Jefferson Award for Harry’s volunteer work within his community. This was awarded with a letter from President George Bush.

Recognition letter from President Bill Clinton for Harry's work overseas in disasters.

Letter of appreciation 1995 from Camas Police Department for finding a drowning victim.

Letter of appreciation 1997 from Oak Harbor Police Department for finding a murdered child.

Recognition letter from Honduran government for work after the Hurricane Mitch disaster in 1998.

KPTV For Kids Sake Award for Harry’s work in teaching children how to stay safe in the woods and in the city.

Letter of Appreciation - 2004. St. Croix Rescue. Putting together and training a disaster response team in the US Virgin Islands. The first all African-American team.
